The unit diagnoses and treats tumours affecting organs of the urinary tract, the retroperitoneum and the adrenal area, as well as tumours that involve the pelvic cavity. We use the latest diagnostic and surgical techniques with these tumours.
We deliver multidisciplinary treatment of urological tumour processes: cancer of the prostate, kidney, bladder, testicle and excretory ducts. In clinical sessions we will assess and coordinate our approach to each patient’s disease and treatment with the urologist, nephrologist, radiologist and medical oncologist, as well as other specialists that may be necessary for the patient’s particular case.
HC Marbella has a hybrid PET/CT scanner that allows: The use of 18F-choline
This makes it possible to monitor other pathologies (prostate tumours, primary liver tumours, certain forms of sarcoma, etc.)
The images are read immediately, which allows the nuclear medicine technologist to contact various specialists and refine the final diagnosis.
