We try to make an early diagnosis of prostate cancer, when it is still located within the boundaries of the gland; it is the only way to offer the patient quality treatment.
We suggest a medical examination with an urologist once a year starting at the age of 50.
Both tests, the PSA test and digital rectal examination, should be performed routinely. According to the results, the following tests can be performed (if applicable):
▪ Trans-rectal ultrasound
▪ Ultrasound-guided prostate biopsy
▪ Bone scan
Patients with levels below 1.5 ng / mL would ideally need a review once every two years.
High-risk patients should have a medical check-up every 6 to 12 months.
