Was sind die Polypen im Dickdarm?

Colon Polypen sind Vorsprünge im Dickdarm, so etwas wie „Pickel“, die in der Schleimhaut erscheinen, die das Innere des Dickdarms auskleidet. Sie messen gewöhnlich einige Millimeter und können mehr oder weniger hervorstehen, sogar flach sein oder einen Stamm haben, der sie mit der Schleimhaut verbindet, als wären sie kleine „Pilze“ (sogenannte gestielte Polypen).
