To help the patients to fight against cancer, HC International Hospital implements the rare practice of designating one physician to coordinate all of a patient’s care through their stay. This personal approach to patient relations and care, also followed by the nursing team, is an integral part of care at HC.
This year, the oncology nursing team has created a dedicated Nurses Oncology Team The role of this nurse is to accompany patients from the announcement of their diagnosis, throughout treatment, and even post-treatment. The nurse builds a relationship of trust with patients, is attentive to their responses and expectations, and determines the needed paramedical and supportive care. As a result, patients feel less alone, know they are being listened to and understood, and are more likely to feel reassured about their treatment.
