Dr Tamara Sánchez, specialist in obstetrics and gynaecology

We are pleased to welcome Dr Tamara Sanchez Miguel to HC Marbella, who joins our gynaecology team as a specialist in hysteroscopy, high-risk pregnancy and fertility studies.

 

Education and specialisation in comprehensive care for women

With a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Granada, Dr Sánchez Miguel completed her MIR training at the Hospital Universitario Reina Sofía in Córdoba.

 

She has subsequently continued her education with various specialisation masters and training programmes, including a Master’s degree in Contraception, Sexual and Reproductive Health from the University of Alcalá de Henares, as well as a Master in Assisted Human Reproduction from the University of Seville and another Master in Oncological Gynaecology from the Cardenal Herrera University (CEU) in Valencia.

 

Professional career

Dr Sánchez Miguel decided to specialise in gynaecology because of her interest in obstetrics and foetal development, working in consultations, operating theatres and specialised units. This has given her the opportunity to accompany patients in different stages and situations; from conception and contraception to fertility treatments.

 

Much of her professional career has taken place in the Community of Madrid, where she acquired extensive experience in areas such as high-risk pregnancy, prenatal medicine and diagnosis, hysteroscopy, assisted reproduction and contraception. In 2024, driven by her family roots, she decided to return to Andalusia to continue developing her professional career.

 

Research and teaching

Committed to research and medical training, Dr Sánchez Miguel has collaborated in the training of medical students, teaching as an author in university academic programmes, in workshops and specialised training courses and as a speaker at scientific conferences.

 

She is also a member of the Spanish Society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics (SEGO) and the Spanish Society of Contraception (SEC), actively contributing to scientific development in her field.

With a comprehensive vision of gynaecology and obstetrics, Dr Sánchez Miguel combines technical precision with close care, accompanying her patients through all stages of their reproductive and gynaecological life.
