Head and neck cancer includes tumours in the mouth, pharynx, larynx, nasal cavity, paranasal sinuses and salivary glands. It accounts for ~4-5% of all cancers in Spain (according to 2024 data from SEOM, the Spanish Society of Medical Oncology). An early diagnosis drastically improves the prognosis.

Due to their locations, which are areas involved in the ingestion and processing of food and drink, these tumours can pose a significant challenge to the usual way of eating, drinking and enjoying food. They may also affect respiratory and speech function.

At our hospital, we offer a comprehensive and coordinated approach to cancer patients in the Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) department.

The entire process is performed by a multidisciplinary team, where different specialists work together in the same place, ensuring a close, coordinated and personalised monitoring for each patient.
