Oncología Integrativa, por una mejor calidad de vida del paciente oncológico

Integrative oncology combines conventional medicine with complementary medicine practices which have been scientifically proven to be effective, with the aim of giving the patient the most complete care and treatment possible for their disease.

HC Marbella and Onconature bring together their experience and professionalism to not only deliver the most precise treatment, but also to teach their oncology patients self-care using nutrition, exercise and psycho-emotional support. Tools that will enable patients to understand their disease and know how to deal with it.

This new Integrative Oncology Unit is coordinated by Dr. Julia Ruiz Vozmedio, Oncologist at HC Marbella and Director of Onconature (Centre for Integrative Oncology). Dr. Vozmediano will be responsible for defining specific goals and designing a personalized programme to improve side effects from treatment and the disease itself, while also enhancing the anti-cancer effects of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy or radiotherapy.

La Dra. Julia Ruíz Vozmediano trained in Integrative Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, a world reference centre in cancer treatment. She has participated in numerous national and international conferences. She has created the first Integrative Oncology Unit within the Public Health System, and through Onconature she has improved the quality of life for many cancer patients.
