The main objective of the HC Marbella Anti-Tobacco Programme is to be able to respond to all smoking-related diseases, dealing first and foremost with tobacco addiction.
70% of smokers want to stop smoking, but most of those who try on their own fail within less than one month and only 3% are successful after a year.
Support units aimed at helping people to quit smoking succeed in improving this percentage of people who give up smoking on their own by up to 27%.
The HC Marbella Anti-Tobacco Programme includes:
▪ Medical consultation
▪ Consultation with a nurse (questionnaires on dependency and motivation)
▪ Chest X-ray
▪ Spirometry test
▪ Additional tests, according to the results of the previous ones
▪ Treatment with medication
