Purposes of data processing: We use our own and third-party cookies to improve and optimise the user experience, but also to analyse our services and collect anonymous information such as the number of visitors to the website, or the most popular pages. In addition, we share information about your use of the website with the partners that provide us with cookies, covering social media, advertising and web analytics.

Recipients: Mainly Google and Facebook, but you can see all the partners in the cookie chart, where the cookies duration periods are also detailed.

Duration: Personal data obtained by cookies will be stored for a maximum of one month, and once the analytics are finished, any identifying data will be deleted. Also, statistics will be stored in an aggregated and anonymised form, so that you cannot be reidentified.

What are cookies?

Cookies are text files that are downloaded to your computer, smartphone or device when you access a website. They allow the website to store and retrieve information about the user’s browsing habits or equipment and, depending on the information they contain and the way you use your computer, they can be used to recognise the user.

Types of cookies according to the entity that manages them:

  • First-party: Those that are sent to your computer from a computer or domain managed by the owner of the website and from which the service requested by the user is provided.
  •

  • Third-party: These are sent to your computer when you browse our website, but from a computer or domain that is managed by a third party. If the third party uses the data obtained for their own purposes, we will notify you of them.

Types of cookies depending on the time they are stored on your computer:

  • Session cookies: Active when you access the website, they disappear at the end of the session (e.g. list of products purchased).
  •

  • Persistent cookies: The data remains stored in the terminal and can be accessed and processed for the period defined in the cookie, which could be as long as years. If we can, we will shorten their duration to a minimum, depending on their purpose.

Types of cookies according to their purpose:

  • Functional and Technical cookies: If they only provide the requested service, they do not have to comply with the Information Society Services Act (hereinafter LSSI). They are strictly necessary for the management and operation of the website, and for the services expressly requested by the user. If you disable these cookies, you will not be able to access our content or services appropriately. Examples:

Traffic control and data communication, identify the session, access to restricted parts, remember the shopping cart order, make purchases, manage payments, prevent fraud, facilitate registrations or participation in events, count visits to bill the software according to the number of uses, use security features when browsing, save data from videos or sounds, enable dynamic content (e.g. text or image loading animation), sharing content through social networks; or managing advertising space based on criteria such as edited content, without collecting user information for other purposes (e.g. personalising content).

  •

  • Preference or personalisation cookies: If you choose certain features (e.g. if you mark the language flag of the website), they do not have to comply with the LSSI, as they are considered an expressly requested service. They allow the user’s preferences to be remembered, such as the language, the number of results to be shown when a search is made, the appearance or content of the service according to the browser or the region from which you are accessing it, etc.
  •

  • User-input cookies: Excluded from the application of the LSSI. They are used to track the user input when filling in online forms on different pages, or for keeping track of the items you have added to your shopping cart by clicking on a button.
  •

  • User authentication and identification cookies (session only). Excluded from the application of the LSSI.
  •

  • User security cookies: Excluded from the application of the LSSI. They detect erroneous or repeated attempts to connect to the website.
  •

  • Media player, load balancing, or user interface customisation cookies. Excluded from the application of the LSSI.
  •

  • Plug-in or social cookies. Excluded from LSSI only for the logged-in user. They control the interaction with social networks within the website. They are used in “youtube”, “facebook”, “google” and “twitter”, or others.
  •

  • Analytics or measurement cookies: We must obtain informed consent, although they are unlikely to pose a risk to your privacy if they are first party and process aggregate data for statistical purposes.

Processed by us or by third parties, they allow us to quantify the number of users, measure and analyse the performance of the website, or count screen impressions or clicks on ads to measure performance and improve the supply of products or services we offer.

  •

  • Behavioural advertising cookies: Processed by us or third parties, they allow us to manage the offer of advertising spaces on the website, adapting the content of the advertisement to the content of the service requested, to the use made of the website, or to the information we have about your browsing habits on the Internet.

Other forms of storage similar to cookies

  • LocalStorage and SessionStorage (HTML5): Space that the website can use on the user’s computer. Normally you can clear them by deleting your Browsing history.
  •

  • Local Shared Objects (Flash): They store more information than a cookie. Also, they are independent of the browser used and more difficult to locate, view or delete. They can even regenerate standard cookies. An example is the Isolated storage Silverlight: you have to go into the user’s Microsoft folder to delete it. (e.g. vimeo video).
  •

  • Web beacons or web bugs: They are images of minimal size, camouflaged on the web and unnoticeable to the eye. They are downloaded when visiting the website but are stored in a second site from which the visit is registered using the information provided by the browser when downloading the image: IP address, operating system, browser, number of times and time of day at which the image is downloaded.
