Clinical Nutrition

Clinical Nutrition is the area that prepares customised diets for many patients based on their particular nutritional needs. It includes:

 

1. Obesity: Comprehensive care for patients with obesity.

 

2. Assessment and treatment, if needed, of patients who are malnourished or at risk of being malnourished.

 

3. Design of individualised diets for patients who require it.

 

4. Care for patients with eating disorders:
▪ Anorexia.
▪ Bulimia.
▪ Other eating disorders.

 

5. Nutritional support for patients with cancer.

 

6. Nutritional support for patients with digestive disorders: constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, and aerophagia.
