The Hospital today of HC Marbella International Hospital gets Malaga Architecture Prize 2013 in the category of ‘equipment, Public Building and Industrial Building’ by building Oncology Day Hospital, designed by the architects José María Vázquez-Reina Elzo Serreraand Isabel.
This infrastructure attached to the hospital has 190 sqm with the most advanced and cutting-edge technology to treat patients with cancer-chemotherapy, biologic therapies, hydrate and transfusions, mainly.
From the architectural point of view, “is projected into the garden through a big hole glass, thereby diluting the boundary between the outside and the building itself”, as explained by Vazquez-Reina. “This ongoing transparency undoubtedly , with the idea of being in contact with nature that permeates the whole hospital, “concluded the architect.
The purpose of these awards instituted by the College of Architects of Málaga is to recognize and disseminate those works of the province in which they attend special values or urban architectural interest.
