Breast MRI
Greater accuracy and earlier detection of lesions

At HC Marbella, we feature a 3 Tesla MRI with artificial intelligence, a high-precision imaging technology that allows us to generate more detailed images, facilitating a reliable diagnosis.
This technology is twice as powerful as a conventional 1.5 tesla MRI, which helps to identify smaller lesions or detect abnormalities at earlier stages, reduce the duration of the scan by up to 40 per cent, and provide a more comfortable experience for the patient
Greater accuracy and earlier detection of lesions
Multiparametric MRI. High-definition imaging of the prostate.
Detection of all types of brain lesions
Detailed imaging of the heart, chambers and valves
Assessment of conditions affecting the digestive system
Exceptional detail of small structures

Technology makes the difference, but it is the human team that turns it into a reliable diagnosis.
A higher-resolution image helps the radiologist to better detect, locate and characterise lesions. In certain scans, a small lesion may be more difficult to visualise on equipment with lower power or resolution.
It depends on the type of scan. In most cases, fasting is not required unless your scan involves the use of contrast, in which case you may be asked to fast for a short period beforehand. Our team will advise you upon confirmation of your appointment.
Not necessarily. Although an open MRI scan may be more comfortable, in some cases it produces lower-quality images and can make it more difficult to detect small lesions.
Our 3 Tesla MRI scanner features a wider bore and allows for faster scans, combining greater comfort with high diagnostic accuracy. In cases of severe claustrophobia, the scan may also be performed under sedation, always under medical guidance and supervision.
It depends on the type of device or implant. Before the scan, you must inform us if you have a pacemaker, prosthesis, cochlear implant, medication pump, surgical clips or any other metallic object in your body.
Our team will check in advance whether it is compatible with MRI.
The duration varies depending on the type of scan, but as a rough guide, it usually ranges from 20 to 45 minutes. Thanks to 3 Tesla technology, many scans are completed in less time than with conventional equipment.
